Literacy
Most of the members of Dumbledore’s Army know just how important the power of reading could be. Many of us were changed by the Harry Potter books, and other stories. Reading provides children and people of all ages with characters to relate to, worlds to fall in love with, messages that teach them to be themselves and treat others with kindness, as well as a healthy exercise to keep their minds sharp.

Organizations
Below are some education organizations. Consider reading about them and the resources they provide, and how you can help through these organizations.
Pajama Program
The Pajama Program is a reputable organization that focuses not only on giving books to underprivileged children, but also pajamas, education on the importance of sleep, and cultivates a sense of community. It’s also less well known so we would be bringing some awareness to it through our fundraising efforts
Book Defenders
Accio Books! is our spell for getting stories into the hands of everyone who needs them. For over 10+ years, we’ve donated hundreds of thousands of books to schools, libraries, and communities around the world.
Students Helping Honduras
Our mission is to alleviate violence and extreme poverty in Honduras through education and youth empowerment Honduras has a 66% poverty rate and is currently the most unequal country in Latin America. We believe those statistics can be changed.
Our Fundraising
