Who We Are
Dumbledore's Army is the SBU Chapter of Fandom Forward, a "non-profit that turns fans into heroes". with a strong commitment to changing the world using fan's passion and creativity, both Fandom Forward and Dumbledore's Army are committed to changing the world by helping fight various social issues.

Our General Body Meetings serve to provide a safe space for Stony Brook Undergraduate students to share their love for the stories of the Harry Potter. This year, we will be holding a few Fundraisers in lobby spaces to raise funds for organizations combatting various social issues. On this website and our other social media, we will share resources to help our community at Stony Brook fight for social equality.

Our Mission
As part of Fandom Forward, we promote charitable activities, foster unity in the student body with programs inspired by a book series, and offer a welcoming, safe space for first year and transfer students, while encouraging campus engagement

We at Dumbledore's Army are not affiliated with a certain individual named JK Rowling.
She may be the author of the series we are dedicated to, but that is where her importance ends. Due to her transphobic and bigoted views, we no longer affiliate ourselves with her or her views. Our club is open to everyone (except those who share her views).

We do not buy any official Harry Potter merchandise, nor do we give them out as prizes in this club.
